The recorded history of five generations
Grandpa Nikolas with his love for the Ikarian land and its traditions started the vineyard, at the family estate at Proespera, in 1875. The art of wine making was imparted from generation to generation and today we follow this heritage, making wine with the same passion and respect towards tradition.
The people
Each wine withholds stories and ardour.
Kostas Tsantiris, a 4th generation winemaker, grew up with the traditions of his father and grandfather, learning the art of wine making in the family estate. In 2000, he returned to Ikaria with his wife Domina and created the winery in his grandfather’s vineyard. Today, with the support of their children Yianni and Nassia, they continue to produce authentic biological wines that celebrate this land and its history.
Domina
Domina is the soul behind visitors’ experience –from the tours to the last glass of wine, she caters to impart the feeling of hospitality, history and quality of Ikaria.
Konstantinos
With love for the land and passion for the wine, Konstantinos initiated Tsantiris Winery to highlight the authentic character of Ikaria through the local varieties and the handcrafted approach.
Nassia
Nassia, a graduate from the Marketing Department of Athens Economic University, is responsible for the strategic marketing and promotion of the winery.
Yiannis
Yiannis is dedicated with fervour to the art of producing wine and cultivating the vineyard.
